Growing up in the 90s as a homeschooled kid, things were very different. We had educational PC games, snail-paced access to the worldwide web, and Encyclopedia Britannica to accompany our Abeka curriculum. Today, we have a definitively infinite array of resources, manipulatives, and curricula. So, how do we as home educators find a healthy balance between school (and how to define it), play, chores, sports, hobbies, and our faith? I say we figure it out together.

 

This blog is a place to focus mainly on homeschooling with a little parenting thrown in. I'll be sharing insights into getting started as a home educator, ways to stay on track for achieving your goals, and rounding up information about programs, products, and resources that you may find useful!

My desire is to share with you the steadfast confidence that comes with seeking God's purpose in our lives. Through our faithful, daily commitment to the Lord, we are given strength and direction to follow through on His plan in our children's lives. Our full faith in Him leaves us free to flourish in His will.
